Co-Managed IT · Platform Access

Direct Access to the Tools That Run Your Network

One of the most common questions we hear from IT departments evaluating co-managed IT is: “What level of access will my team have to the tools you use to manage our network?” The short answer: meaningful, working-level access to every platform involved in managing your environment. Below is exactly what you can see and do in each tool.

Why This Matters

Co-Managed Means Hands-On, Not Hands-Off

Some MSPs treat co-managed clients as observers — read-only dashboards, ticket comments, and not much else. We don't. Your IT team gets named accounts in every platform we use to manage your environment. You can investigate alerts, run remote support sessions, edit policies, update documentation, and pull reports on your own schedule. We're still on the line for engineering work and 24/7 monitoring — but you're never locked out of your own network.

FAQ

Common Access Questions

What level of access does my IT team get to BRITECITY platforms?
Working-level admin access to every tool involved in managing your environment. That includes endpoint security (SentinelOne), DNS security (Cisco Umbrella), email security (Check Point Harmony), security awareness training (Breach Secure Now), RMM (ConnectWise), remote support (ConnectWise ScreenConnect), Mac management, and documentation (IT Glue). The exact role per platform is listed above — most are admin or admin-equivalent.
Can my team make changes, or only view things?
Both. Across most platforms — SentinelOne, Cisco Umbrella, Check Point Harmony, IT Glue, Mac management — your team has full edit and management capabilities. ConnectWise RMM is intentionally scoped to view-and-act-on-alerts level access (no broad automation editing) so production stability is preserved while you get the visibility and remediation tools you need.
How do we get credentials for these platforms?
Your BRITECITY techTEAM provisions accounts during onboarding. If you need credentials added or updated for a specific team member, email help@britecity.com or call (949) 243-7440 and we will get them set up the same business day in most cases.
Why is ConnectWise RMM access more limited than the security tools?
RMM controls every endpoint we manage — automations, scripts, and patching. Limited access on automations is a guardrail, not a wall. You can see what is running, run actions on devices, and review reports. If you need a specific automation built, modified, or run, our engineers handle it on request so a misconfigured script never takes a fleet offline.
Will we lose access if we end the engagement?
Yes. Platform access is granted under our tenancy and licensing for active co-managed clients. At the end of an engagement we offboard accounts, export your IT Glue documentation to a format you can take with you, and coordinate transition of any tooling you want to license directly with the vendor.
Can we integrate these platforms with our existing tools?
In most cases, yes. SentinelOne, Cisco Umbrella, ConnectWise RMM, and IT Glue all support API integrations with common ITSM, SIEM, and identity platforms. Tell us what you want to connect to and we will scope the integration during your onboarding.
