Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the director of finance at Optimum Employer Solutions. We’re a professional employer organization that handles HR, payroll benefits, and worker’s compensation for small and mid-sized companies.
What challenge were you trying to address with briteCITY? We don’t have anyone in-house that handles our IT. Because we’re a service provider, having good IT is critical to our business.
This is why we hired briteCITY.
What was the scope of their involvement? They’re our managed IT provider so they handle all our IT-related services. Recently, we migrated to Microsoft Teams.
We had been using Slack and GoToMeeting. briteCITY also migrated our phone system to Teams. We had migrated to Microsoft 365 a while ago, and they helped us with that as well.
When we get new hires, they set up all their new hardware and software. What is the team composition? I work with a few technicians.
How did you come to work with briteCITY? We were with another company and they got acquired by briteCITY. That’s how we came to work with them.
We were concerned that the level of service might go down or pricing might go up but we were pleasantly surprised that the transfer was seamless. How much have you invested with them? We invest about $40,000 a year with them.
What is the status of this engagement? Our ongoing engagement started in June 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Their services are excellent. We normally email a ticket in, and their response time is very quick.
If we have an emergency, we can call and get someone very fast. I don’t receive any calls or complaints from my internal team, so that’s a signal that things are great. The support is stellar and their pricing is right in line with our budget.
How did briteCITY perform from a project management standpoint? Their project management is excellent. Every month, I meet with our main contact to go over status updates and future work.
briteCITY is great. When I have an issue, I send an email and immediately get a response acknowledging they got the email and will contact us. Their follow-up is fantastic.
When they resolve an issue, they email us outlining what they did and how it got resolved. What did you find most impressive about them? Their response time is exceptional.
Are there any areas they could improve? There have been a few instances when we haven’t received our hardware as quickly as we would’ve liked. That’s out of their hands though and more due to the shipping delays caused by COVID-19.
