Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m the senior VP and CIO of Hampton Products International Corporation.
What challenge were you trying to address with briteCITY? Here at Hampton, my goal is for our IT Dept to not be just an expense line, but rather a strategic differentiator that helps the company win and even thought we are a fairly large company, we are still considered to be in the SMB category and we don’t have a full range of experts on staff to manage every important IT function. Having a great partner to augment my team is important to our success.
What was the scope of their involvement? briteCITY works with us in a couple of different ways; they’re on contract for some IT services, but we also have projects with them. We delegate some recurring or repetitive tasks like such as server patching or management, but we also work with them on projects like policy creation or certain software deployments were they come alongside my team and assist us with training and expertise, for these we normally negotiate a project scope and contract.
What is the team composition? I mostly communicate with Chad (CEO), but we probably work with around 4–5 people from their team. How did you come to work with briteCITY?
I’ve known Chad for a while now as he has worked with one of our partners 15 years ago. When I realized that he had started briteCITY, I gave them a call and started engaging with them again. How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably spent around $100,000 USD. What is the status of this engagement? Our ongoing partnership started in November 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? I don’t have any concrete numbers but compared to our previous provider, I find briteCITY to be more responsive and capable. We get more results, our projects are accomplished sooner, and their pricing is very competitive — the money we spend with them, is money well-spent.
How did briteCITY perform from a project management standpoint? I find them extremely reliable and timely with their deliverables, so I don’t have to worry too much about our projects. We typically communicate through email and phone.

They don’t work hard enough to sell themselves, so I’m usually calling them to ask for certain services. I encourage briteCITY to make an effort of telling me more about the services we may need. Do you have any advice for potential customers?
This would be true with any other vendor you’ll work with, but you’ll get the most out of the engagement if you’re fully prepared.
