Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m an IT manager for an organization that manufactures and distributes padlocks, door locks, and security products.
What challenge were you trying to address with briteCITY? We needed support to deploy new backup services and servers.
What was the scope of their involvement? We migrated from our old system to VEEAM, which gave us a lot more flexibility. Questions and challenges came along with that added flexibility.
briteCITY walked us through the process of setting up the backup servers and services in addition to setting up a significant portion of them. Their technicians answered our questions about our previous practices and best practices for VEEAM. They also helped us with the monitoring services too.
What is the team composition? I primarily worked with one technician. However, there were at least three different people on some of the calls.
How did you come to work with briteCITY? Our CIO found them through a networking event during which a colleague recommended briteCITY. We then had an introductory call with them and chose them based on their knowledge.
Their team was professional and answered all of our questions. When we posed questions, they brought another technician onto the call to ensure that they properly answered our questions. How much have you invested with them?
The project cost about $15,000. What is the status of this engagement? We knocked out the project in November 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? Their team was able to hit our metrics. They were able to successfully backup, restore, and test our services.
How did briteCITY perform from a project management standpoint? Project management was one aspect of the engagement that impressed me. We had to press our past vendors, which wasn’t the case with briteCITY.
Their team followed up and pushed me when I had tasks. There was a ticketing system, but we frequently communicated via email and phone calls. They made their cell and work numbers available.
If I had a question, I received an answer right away. What did you find most impressive about them? I was impressed by their knowledge and project management skills.
This was by far the simplest deployment that we’ve ever had. It was a low-stress experience for me because briteCITY stayed on top of it. Are there any areas they could improve?
I didn’t have any issues, so it’s hard to say. I wish that I’d found them sooner. Do you have any advice for potential customers?
