At BRITECITY, we're always evaluating the tools we use to protect our clients. That's why we're excited to announce a significant upgrade to your organization's threat protection platform: we're transitioning from AppRiver to Check Point Email & Collaboration, one of the most advanced security solutions available for Microsoft 365 environments.
This upgrade is a direct enhancement to your POLARITY for Mailboxes plan. There is no change to your monthly licensing. This is an improvement we're delivering as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping BRITECITY clients ahead of evolving threats.
We've already rolled this out internally at BRITECITY and spent time stress-testing it so that your transition is as smooth as possible.
WHY WE'RE MAKING THE SWITCH
AppRiver has served as a solid email filtering solution, but as cyber threats have grown more sophisticated, and as your teams have moved more of their work into platforms like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, email alone is no longer the only attack surface that matters.
Check Point Email & Collaboration is purpose-built for the way modern businesses actually work: across email, cloud storage, and real-time collaboration tools, all under one unified security umbrella.
WHAT'S CHANGING
You'll continue to have robust spam and phishing filtering, but with Check Point's AI-driven threat intelligence powering the engine. It catches more, with fewer false positives.

Beyond malware, Check Point also watches for files or content that may contain sensitive information, things like unprotected personal data, financial records, or other content that could expose your organization to compliance risk. If something triggers your organization's DLP policy, it's quarantined before it can spread or be shared externally.

QUARANTINE PROCESS
We've made sure the experience is clear and never leaves you guessing.
A quarantined file is replaced with a plain-text notification that explains why it was flagged. To have a file reviewed or restored, simply call BRITECITY at 949-243-7440 (option 3 during business hours, or option 8 after hours to reach an on-call technician.
A quarantined message or file is replaced with a visible notification directly in the conversation thread, so no one is left wondering where something went. Restoration requests are handled the same way. Just give us a call.
BRITECITY manages the quarantine portal on your behalf. You don't need to log into anything or manage policies yourself. That's our job.

Check Point extends active threat monitoring across your entire Microsoft 365 environment, including email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. Files, messages, and links are all scanned in real time.
For most users, the experience will be seamless. The main difference is that you may see quarantine notifications in SharePoint, OneDrive, or Teams if a threat or policy violation is detected. These notifications are clear and tell you exactly what happened and how to get help.
