Dear BRITECITY Client,
Earlier this week, I sent you an email outlining the potentially increasing cyber-threat level to the US due to the Russian attack on Ukraine. During the 2017 conflicts in the Ukraine, there was a substantial increase in cyber-attacks. These 2017 attacks required BRITECITY to reevaluate our defensive stance, which ultimately led to the creation of POLARITY, our answer to enhancing business cyber security.
This week, the BRITECITY staff performed a similar exercise to increase our cyber resilience and risk mitigation. During this audit, we made various decisions that will harden your businesses cyber security footprint.
As part of the evaluation, the following changes will be made between now and May 30th:
- Additional security services will be added to the POLARITY product line. These enhancements will provide greater protection to your business.
- The cost for POLARITY will increase as follows:
- POLARITY per mailbox: from $11 to $13 per month
- POLARITY per computer: from $11 to $15 per month
- Timing on this will be announced in a follow up email.
- POLARITY will also become a minimum requirement for all BRITECITY clients. Today, it is too dangerous not to have these services in place to protect your business.
- All shared mailboxes in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace will have “disabled login” enabled.
- All “legacy authentication” into Cloud services or business networks will be disabled.
- The ability to forward emails to an external domain will be disabled.
- Every client-owned email domain will be audited for DKIM/SPF.
- An [EXTERNAL] flag will be added to any email that originates from outside your organization alerting you to a potential email spoofing attempt.
- The spam filtering service used to protect you from incoming malicious emails will now include a complete block from known malicious country IP addresses.
- Each firewall, under our management, will block known malicious country IP addresses.
- Malicious country blocks will be implemented on each computer in your business, and for all outbound access to the Internet.
Continued communication will be sent while these items are implemented. Although we do not expect any interruption to your business, please be aware of the possibility. Anytime controls are increased there may be a “cause and affect” situation.
