Employee Spotlight: Faye

Born and raised in California, Faye is the glue that holds briteCITY together. Keeping everyone organized and offering support when needed. She is married to a wonderful man who has a funny accent that requires her to do English to English translations frequently.  She also has 13 year old identical twin boys that push her to the brink of insanity and tests her patience on the daily, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. Her life is relatively simple but it is just the way she likes it.

I asked a Faye a few more questions about her life, and here is what she had to say…

How long have you been with briteCITY?

I was placed into indentured servitude two years this September, although I don’t receive transportation, clothing, or shelter, they do feed me regularly with pizza.

What do you do for briteCITY?

I started out as the Support Coordinator but got promoted to Supreme Ruler, the best title ever! 🙂

What is your favorite part of your job?

The favorite part of my job is the laughter and fun that everyone brings to the office.

What is one thing that makes briteCITY great?

The company culture is what makes briteCITY a great place. My sons say all the time that they want to work at a place like briteCITY when they grow up.  They don’t quite understand the rarity of this gem.

What is the weirdest job you have ever had?

The weirdest job I have ever had was an aerobics instructor. Which is strange considering that last thing I want to do these days is any form of physical exertion.

Where is your favorite place to be?

My favorite place to be is on an adventure with my little family. Whether it’s out of the country or somewhere local, an adventure always makes for a good time and memories made.

When you aren’t working, what do you love to do?

Sleep! I just don’t get enough of it. 🙂

What does leadership mean to you?

Leadership is a person who creates an inspiring vision of the future. Motivates and inspires people to engage with that vision. Manages delivery of the vision.”

I may have Googled that but it fits true to what it means to me and what we have here at briteCITY.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

French fries. I probably should say something like my husband or sons or love but it’s French fries definitely French fries.

If you could have a different job for one day, what would you want to do?

If I could, I would be a nurse in a third world African country preferably working with women that face FGM and all the issues surrounding it.

What is your favorite Book, Movie & Song?

I don’t know that I have a favorite book I just love to read.  My favorite movie is tied between three; Braveheart, Grease, and The Notebook.  Yes a bit random but great none the less.  As for my favorite song, I just love music and anything that I can sing along to and sing along I always do, to the dismay of those ears close to me!

Apple or Android?

I refuse to drink the juice…Android
